Confidential telehealth support for the people who support everyone else.

First responders and serving and ex-serving Defence members carry pressures most people never see. PsychologyAU offers confidential telehealth psychology for adults in these roles, with experience supporting high-pressure and uniformed work. Sessions are private, held from wherever you are, and conducted in a professional setting.

Queensland Police, SES & MRQ (SelfRefer)

If you are a QPS, SES or MRQ employee or volunteer, the SelfRefer program funds up to 6 psychology sessions each financial year (1 July to 30 June), at no out-of-pocket cost. You can refer yourself directly, with no permission or manager approval needed.

Queensland Fire Department (FESSN)

If you are QFD or QFES staff or a volunteer, the FESSN program funds an initial 4 free sessions, and these are also available to your immediate family. You can self-refer directly, with no approval needed.

Serving Defence members

PsychologyAU provides telehealth psychology for current-serving ADF members. Referrals are arranged through your on-base Health Centre or Medical Officer, with care managed through Bupa’s ADF Health Services, at no out-of-pocket cost.

Veterans (DVA)

Veterans with a DVA White Card or Gold Card can access telehealth psychology with a referral from their GP, using the DVA D904 referral voucher. White Card holders are covered for DVA-accepted conditions, and Gold Card holders for all clinically necessary mental health care. Referrals generally cover up to 12 sessions or 12 months.

Confidentiality

What you share in session stays in session, within the standard professional and legal limits that apply to all psychology care. Your employer, service or agency does not receive session content.
