Getting started

  1. See your GP, who can recommend psychology on your work capacity certificate.
  2. Lodge your claim with WorkCover Queensland, if you haven’t already.
  3. Once your claim is accepted, book online and have your claim number and GP referral ready.

WorkCover covers an initial set of sessions once your claim is accepted. If you need more, Lynn works with your case manager to request them.

In person or telehealth

Sessions are available in person in Cleveland. Telehealth by secure video is also available once WorkCover has approved it, and your case manager can arrange this.

How Lynn helps

Lynn works with injured workers experiencing stress, anxiety, low mood, trauma, sleep difficulties, and the adjustment that comes with an injury, time off work and returning to work.

Sessions draw on evidence-based approaches such as CBT, trauma-focused therapy and schema therapy, and can include planning for a safe return to work.

Common questions

Is there a gap fee?

No. WorkCover pays PsychologyAU directly for approved sessions.

My claim hasn't been accepted yet. Can I still book?

Yes. You can book as a private client while your claim is being decided.

Will my employer know what I say in sessions?

No. Your employer does not receive session content. WorkCover may request a brief report on your progress.

I'm a first responder. Which program applies?

Once your WorkCover claim has been accepted, your sessions are funded through WorkCover. While your claim is being decided, you may be able to use SelfRefer or FESSN if you still have sessions available under that program. See the First Responders page.
